Denise DiIanni | Executive-in-Charge

Denise DiIanni is the founding director of the WGBH Lab. She's also the Executive in Charge of Boston Media Productions, a 'GBH production unit devoted to the creation of local, regional and new media content. Denise spent many years as a documentary producer for NOVA and before that was as an independent filmmaker working in Central America and Europe.
Christopher Hastings | Lab Supervisor

In addition to his leadership in the WGBH Lab, Christopher is also the Post Production Supervisor for Boston Media Productions. Chris' background in public media includes a stint on the children's television show ZOOM and various projects with WGBH's Educational Productions. His roots in media began in Washington, DC where he was the Associate Producer for Black Entertainment Television's BET Tonight with Tavis Smiley. Chris is a graduate of Kutztown State University in Pennsylvania and holds a master's degree in Film from American University in Washington DC.
Stacy Buchanan | Project Marketing Coordinator

Stacy's background in online marketing includes an Online Digital Print and Media degree, and 3+ years at IDG Enterprise, where she put on various hats with sales and promoting on Computerworld.com, and ITworld.com. Previously, Stacy attended the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, where she studied film and special effects makeup. During this time, Stacy worked on various movie productions, as well as the locally filmed TV show Dawson's Creek. Stacy is also Community Marketing Manager for PBS Interactive's new project MyType2.
Elias Mallette | Production Coordinator

Elias Mallette is the Production Coordinator for the WGBH Lab's and Boston Media Productions. Elias recently graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art where he studied film and video. Since then, he's worked on a variety of documentaries, commercials and narrative films including as a motion graphics artist/online editor for Juan Mandelbaum's new film “Our Disappeared”.
Rachel Hargreaves-Heald | Production Secretary

Rachel Hargreaves-Heald is Production Secretary for the WGBH Lab and Boston Media Productions. A 2004 graduate of Princeton University, Rachel spent two and a half years working in Los Angeles on a variety of projects, beginning with CBS’ drama Threshold. She then moved into development at Heyday Films, the Harry Potter production company, before becoming a development assistant at Paramount’s Rosen-Obst Productions. She also served as associate producer on two independent films. At WGBH, Rachel is on the Junior Leaders committee; a cross departmental collaboration that is currently working on addressing issues around career growth, communication and inclusion.
