Care at 100 (3:00)
Orlantha Coleman - Bakersfield, CA
This story is about a daughter named Josephine Triplett that caregives for her recently turned 100-year-old mom Gemelia Herring. This family is unique as they are descendants of the first African-American township named Allensworth. The care recipient just celebrated her 100th birthday along with the town.
Josephine provides all of moms primary care. You'll find this short clip interesting and historical as it reflect the rich history these two women share. These women are closely knit together in love and quilting.
The clip was filmed in Bakersfield, CA just 40 minutes away from the original township the family grew up in.

Care at 100
A nice story - shows what it takes to care for someone in Deep Age. It left me with questions, though. She quit her job to do this? What are they living on?

This was a very good overview. The sound kept going off and on though, so I missed some of what the daughter was saying.
I would greatly like if it was openly stated in the documentary that: "one may have to quit their "paying" job and replace it with a job that has no pay, longer hours, and much harder work. In some cases, however, this is the best job that one will ever have."
