Open Call: Pitch Reels
Unity Makes Sense for Clinton/Obama (5:05)
Sean Mulvihill
When you wake up, first thing in the morning and you haven't begun to realize where you are or what you are, or really formed a coherent thought...you are so peaceful.
Those quiet moments' contrast with sleep and its fitful dreams or waking hours at work or play.
The idea of Obama-Clinton on the same ticket makes perfect sense. But in their myopia and personal conquest, these two, who united symbolize all that is great about America, divided and opposed, symbolize the fragmented and crumbling infrastructure of this country.
Why is it that when I wake up, some mornings, it's all so very clear? And other mornings a train rushes right through and spooks me before i can enjoy even five breaths of peace?
If Obama and Clinton could only relax and withdraw to some personal meditative quiet time, they each might find the solution lies in their unity.
