Open Call: Pitch Reels
You Can't Vote In 'Change' (2:34)
Elisa Kreisinger
The Pitch:
Throughout its short history, our nation has faced issues of war, terrorism, inflation, economic turmoil, job cuts, and health care. We've elected leaders to combat these issues, yet they seem to return generation after generation. Have we just elected the wrong people, or is the problem a deeper, systematic one? By examining the claims of past presidents and comparing them to our current political and economic climate, one may get the sense that change can not be voted in. Instead, change has been the result of people's movements, not democratic electoral politics.
I would like to use only archival footage to tell this story. I have already completed a short video remix of the idea, which I think works well. I think there is potential in the concept that I would like to see expanded.
Note: video is included to demonstrate production style and may not represent the content of the pitch.
