Heating Up
| 1 Submit a Pitch | 2 Rate Pitches | 3 Produce | 4 Rough Cuts | 5 Final Cuts |
The WGBH Lab, in partnership with WGBH Teachers' Domain, is now accepting submissions for our Youth Voices OPEN CALL - Heating Up!
The theme is inspired by the FRONTLINE documentary "Heat"!
"Heat" takes a close look at the critical role of businesses in global warming: how businesses react to the science of climate change, how they influence government action and how they respond to public pressure to reduce carbon emissions.
In this OPEN CALL, we challenge youth media creators worldwide to produce a 3-5 minute short that tells a story of how climate change affects your community.
We task youth media groups, classrooms and individual youth media makers to pitch us an idea that's creative, innovative and fresh--don't be timid.
To inspire you, the WGBH Lab and WGBH Teachers' Domain offer you a collection of video clips that you can now download for free.
Feel free to remix our content. Come up with a concept for your short. Next, pitch us your idea with a video trailer! We'll post your pitch along with others and allow our online community to help select the pitches that go into production.
Selected projects receive a $2,000 production grant, and editorial support from the Lab. Completed shorts will be presented here and may air on TV!
